size matters
here is a layout i actually created to go on my wall. try playing with size on your next layout. here, i used a ginormous flower and paired it with tiny photos. i suppose it is not really a technique, but the 3-d petals are... see below.
- for layouts that will be out of your book layer the print for a 3-d effect
- i cut petals from the same paper in a different color, slit the background, then used my finger to "curl" the petals. i used some foam adhesive to keep the petals up.
- for some of the petal, i actually cut the background then layered more petals under it.

I have a few of those transparencies in my stash but was at a bit of a loss as to how to use them. Thanks for the great idea. I would have never come up with that on my own!

Ana: It made such a nice and personal piece of art for your home. So much nicer than slapping 4x6 photos in frames.
Great job.

Love it! Wanna know how you made the flowers (like everyone else!)

I love the purple - my favorite color. Now, to make the petals, did you use a stamp? If so, where did you get it?
Thanks.
Posted by: Evelyn | May 01, 2008 at 11:09 AM
That is definitely different and I like that.

This is toooo cool! I don't do traditional scrapbooks but prefer to do mini-books or, as you've done here, scrap pff-the-page. Beautiful and inspiring work (as always!)

The sillouette flowers are lovely. Do you mind posting what brand did you use. Thanks
